The Trapper Monument represents a common history for all Labradorians. For generations, Trapping was a way of life for many men and their wives. The Trapper Monument was unveiled on September 5th, 2004.

The whole community of North West River was involved in the reenactment of the 100th anniversary of Mina Hubbard's adventure. The Mina Hubbard Symposium and Women's Retreat were also held during the celebration.
